In Mumbai, currently, urban planning is not very comprehensible for majority of the public and FSI is often equated to the entire gamut of planning. Likewise, several aspects of urban planning and its implications on quality of life in urban and semi-urban agglomerations are not easily understood. UDRI is initiating a series of media interventions to simplify the urban planning jargon, and make urban planning a participatory process.

The media series will bust commonly held myths surrounding planning issues of FSI, density, public infrastructure, housing and other pertinent issues. UDRI will conceptualise content and present the same through a series of short videos, social media campaigns and other multimedia channels. These will empower citizens, students and professionals, activists, local action groups, non-profit organisations and other stakeholders to address various concerns related to urban planning and governance and be more involved in the urban planning process.
