Supported by UDRI and Bombay City Policy Research Foundation The presentation attempted to question the alienating tendencies of urban research and practice and the credibility of its various fields by identifying its various ‘publics’. What is architecture’s public? What is research’s public? What is activism’s public? The presentation probed the possibility of moving beyond engagement through ‘projects’ and ‘case – studies’ to collaborating in a critical urban process where learning is dialogical, engagement enabling & transformation mutual.
