The UDRI Research & Resource Centre was formally established in 2003 as a central archive of books, journals and technical documents on the history and governance of Mumbai. By focusing our collection on the development, protection, management and history of our built and natural environment, UDRI hopes to strengthen the public knowledge and discussion on our city's future.

Today, the Resource Centre is one of the only sources of documents and visual material for educators, professionals, journalists and students interested in Urban Conservation and Design. The Centre also offers a quiet study centre and a productive studio environment for researchers at the UDRI office.
