The Centre intends to generate ideas for the future of the city and disseminate information on the city through developing a variety of programmes and services such as:
- Housing a Principal Archive on Mumbai which becomes a central reference resource of printed and visual material on our city.

- Providing a directory of the programmes and services offered by city improvement, conservation and planning organizations in the city through Electronic Resources.

- The Mumbai Urban Design Studio has been instituted with the intention of generating interdisciplinary thought and collaborating ideas for the city. By collaborating with architectural and planning students from both national and International
Colleges.

The timings of the Resource Centre are 11.30 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Friday only.
